Enjoying The Simple Life

I wanted to use my Country Life cartridge and decided to scrap this pic of my DH and our Daisy. I LOVE this cartridge and thought the banner option was something differnt. I tried my hand at the faux stitching and found that I stitch just like I sew - not too straight.  The papers are Co-erdinations Gemstone (blue) and misc DCWV stacks.

Bless This Nest

I purchased this page kit from Scrapbook Eden because I love the bird and wanted to learn how to do eyes the way she does. Melinda is very talented and her chalking is amazing. She has a great tutorial on her site as to how to do this. She also has a Cricut site called Cooking with Cricut that you might like to visit. I had fun doing this layout and am excited at what I learned.

Finally Time to Scrap and Post... WooHoo!!!

Wow!  My third post today!!!  WooHoo!!!!

We have been so busy this summer that I have not been able to do much scrapping and posting to my blog. Well... Finally, things are settling down a bit. We have put our house on the market (wish us luck) and in doing so I have been doing a ton of work to get it ready to sell.  Funny how things that have needed done get finished when you decide to sell.

For those that have emailed about my dear hubby... He is doing great!  He has a 20 lb weight limit for the rest of his life and will always walk with a cane - but, that is minor compared to what we were afraid would be the end result of all he went through. We have certainly been blessed.  I never thought much about 20 lbs and in working on the house for selling, I have found that 20 lbs is not much at all.  Geez!

Another thing that happened this summer, I am now a member of the Cricut Circle and LOVE it. I only joined for the Quarter and will be changing that soon to be yearly.  Yippeeee!!!  I received the French Manor cartridge for joining and love it. I also will get an exclusive cart every quarter that is only available to Circle members. Yup - My Cricut addiction is still as STRONG as ever.  LOL!!!

Birthday Card with Cut/Gypsy files

I need to make a birthday card for my niece's birthday party today. She love princesses and I thought this card would make her happy. I used Coerdinations Gemstone and DCWV Sweet stack for the card.

I added the Cut file to my blog in February and you can find it here: http://www.brensdesigns.com/2010/02/princess-dress-shape-card-with-cut-file.html

You will find the Gypsy file below the picture. I have not tried it in the Gypsy and hope it works right.

Floral Layout with DS and Gypsy Files

I have been trying to use all of my cartridges that I have not used (have 78).  I created this layout using George (Flowers), Heritage (Title) and Accent Essentials (Leaves). The papers were some miscellaneous sheets that I had and am not sure of the makers. I do love the colors!!!

Here is a picture of the layout and the cut file and gypsy file are below.  Enjoy!

Here is a picture of the cut file.  Just reverse the layout and add the Memories title for page 2
